Mondays 5:30 PM starting June 1st/ Open water swim practice

Get ready for triathlon season!!! This is a free training event!!!

We swim rain or shine but of course not in thunder/lightning.

One length of the dam (swim portion) is approx 575yds.

Click the link below to see the map showing the dam. It's in Little River state park off rt 2. You'll notice on the left end of the resevoir that there's a flat straight edge of the resevoir--that's the dam. You'll see it as you drive up and there's parking --look for dirt parking lot/boat launch on the right. Swims will start on June 1st at 5:30. Every Monday there after at 5:30. See you then. We also sometimes do openwater specific drills (drafting drills, sighting, swimming straight) so if you're new to open water it really is great practice.

We swim along the dam and are well out of the way of boats.

Later in the summer we'll throw together some informal "spash and dash" races. 2 laps (down and back) of the dam and a 2 mile run.
