Learn the basics of backcountry first aid or brush up on your skills. This course covers common injuries and illnesses you might encounter on your next ski or snowshoe trip. Includes prevention, recognition, basic treatment, and documentation; first aid certification is not provided. (For advanced skills and certification in backcountry medicine, see SOLO courses below). Instructor: Pete Antos-Ketcham; GMC Education Staff. Limit: 20. Fee: $40. Register by January 8.
