Take the Catamount Challenge and tour or race from the Trapp Family Lodge to the Bolton Valley Nordic Center. The 17 km route is 70% backcountry and 30% on groomed trails. Participants will climb 2300 vertical ft from Nebraska Notch to the highest point on the Catamount Trail and descend 1300 ft to the Bolton Valley Nordic Center. This event is only for experienced skiers in good physical condition. The tour participants will depart one hour prior to the start of the competitive race. The entry fee of $35 for CTA members and $50 for non-members includes a post race meal, raffle, awards, and a 8th Edition Guidebook. A $5.00 fee will be charged for those people who want bus transportation from the Bolton Valley Nordic Center to the Trapp Family Touring Center.
