Welcome Back to Vermont Sports

We’re thrilled to bring Vermont Sports magazine back to you with this first issue. We’re looking forward to carrying on the magazine’s 35-year legacy having been longtime readers of Vermont Sports with strong personal ties to the state.

Since we just purchased the business last month, please consider this first issue a soft opening – we wanted to get a winter issue done (especially with this great snow), before moving on to spring and summer! We had a number of Upstate Sports advertisers eager to reach you readers, but had little time to reach Vermont businesses, organizations, and events – you’ll hear from us soon, we’re excited to help you spread the word, and all are welcome!

For many years, we’ve enjoyed being active in Vermont. We’re excited to continue the legacy of founder Kate Carter, the previous owners, and most recently, Lisa and Angelo Lynn. Our 26 years of publishing Adirondack Sports (now Upstate Sports) magazine has prepared us well to ensure its ongoing growth and success! The magazine has featured many talented contributing writers and photographers, which we’ll be reintroducing and we welcome new contributors. Race results will also make a comeback, as we all like seeing our names in print.

You’ll notice the new logo and tabloid design, which aligns with Upstate Sports magazine. We’ll be publishing Vermont Sports magazine monthly year-round, increasing the circulation to 20,000 copies – distributed free at 400 locations where active people go in Vermont and the surrounding states. We’ll also be sharing our online flipbook issues, Vermont Sports Weekly emails, and timely news and information posts on social media. Visit: VTSports.com.

In 2006, we started bringing Adirondack Sports magazine to life with our Summer Expo in Saratoga Springs, and in 2022 we added the Winter Expo ski show that’s now in Saratoga on Oct. 24-25. These free admission and high-energy shows are expanding this year to include more coverage of Vermont and New England. Please join us for our 20th annual Upstate Sports Summer Expo in downtown Saratoga Springs on Saturday-Sunday, March 14-15, with 200 outdoor sports, recreation, and travel exhibitors and 12,000 attendees expected from a two-hour radius. This year, we’re bringing Upstate Sports and Vermont Sports magazines to life at both expos. We hope to see you there!
